Acapulco (Ah-kah-POOL-co) is a city that that has been well known to the North American tourist for many years. It has a 24 hours a day life style with so many attraction every visitor will find something they like
Acapulco can be said to be the first Mexican tourist resort. Acapulco
claims many first including ~The Disco~ tequilla poppers and swim up pool
bars.
Probably Acapulco's most famous event is the cliff divers.
Although these days Acapulco is known as a play ground for tourists, it's origin was an important trade city with the Spanish. For over 250 years the Spanish traders transported the wealth of their Asia colonies across the pacific to Mexico and from there to Spain. Mexican silver was traded for Asian spices and these were then transported to Europe.
